Palm Islands -Eighth Wonder of the World

This three artificially created islands-Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira are settlements in the shape of date palm tree,which are connected with the land by their trunks..Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jebel are finished, Palm Deira is supposed to be the biggest from all three(46,35 square kilometers)  and gonna be finished in 2015.

Those islands are seen even from the universe like the Great Wall of China. All materials for construction were excavated in the Persian Gulf.  Among the three islands will be over 100 luxury hotels, exclusive residential beach side villas and apartments,water theme parks,restaurants,shopping malls,sport facilities and health spa.

The biggest purpose for building those islands was to prolong the cost,which naturally is not that big in Dubai and to increase tourism.

Palms Islands are projected and built by Nakheel Properties company,whose owner is Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum.

Underground is also established on the islands.
